Who is behind US Lemon Law Check

Radif Partners

Independent publisher of a state-by-state reference to new and used car lemon laws in the United States, with eligibility, deadline and refund calculators

US Lemon Law Check is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds free reference tools on public rules. This one exists because the question "is my car a lemon?" has 51 different answers, one per state and one for the District of Columbia, and the texts that give them are scattered across legislature codes and agency pages. We read them and put them side by side, with tools that apply them to a real repair history.

What the site does

The checker applies a state's protection period, repair tests, notice and deadline to the figures you enter. The comparison tool puts two states side by side. The letter builder writes a notice to the manufacturer. The buyback and deadline calculators apply the offset and time rules that each state sets. Each state and the District has a page of its own.

Where the facts come from

State laws from the code published by each legislature, or, when that site could not be read, from the lemon law page of the state attorney general or motor vehicle agency; federal law from the United States Code and the eCFR. Every rule carries its source and the date we read it. When an official text could not be opened, the site says "not confirmed". The method page describes the checks.

What we are not

We are not a state agency, a manufacturer, a dealer, an arbitration program or a law firm. We give no legal advice, we do not review cases, and we refer no one to a lawyer or any other service.

How the site is paid for

Nothing is sold here, there is no affiliate link and no lead form. If advertising is added one day, it will never sit inside a tool, and it cannot use what you type, which never leaves your browser.

Tell us when something is wrong

Legislatures amend lemon laws, as Colorado and Pennsylvania did in 2024. If a fact differs from the official text, write to contact@uslemonlawcheck.com with the page. The editorial policy explains how a correction is made and dated. The site has 64 pages of tools and guides.
